Information stored locally in your browser

The following data is stored only in your browser's local storage and is never transmitted to our servers:

  • Search queries and filter selections. The entire index is loaded into your browser and searched locally. Nothing you type in the search box is sent to a server.
  • Voting history and display preferences. These are stored in your browser so the site can remember your votes and settings. Clearing your browser data erases them permanently.

Information stored on our servers

  • Vote totals. The aggregate score for each entry, along with a randomly generated browser identifier so you can change your own vote. This identifier is not linked to any personal information.
  • Comments. The display name you enter, the text of your comment, and the timestamp. The name you provide is published publicly, so choose one you are comfortable displaying.
  • Submissions. Information you provide through the submission form, including an email address if you choose to provide one, which is used only to follow up on that submission.
  • Hashed network identifiers. A one-way cryptographic hash is used for rate limiting and abuse prevention. This process is irreversible and the original information cannot be recovered from the stored value.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or process any of the following: account credentials or passwords, analytics or behavioral tracking data, advertising or social media tracking pixels, cookies set by this site, user profiles or behavioral data, or browsing history. We do not sell, rent, or share any information with data brokers, advertisers, or other third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests on our behalf and maintains standard server logs in accordance with its own privacy policy. This site may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

Affiliate links

This site may contain affiliate links to third-party products and services. Clicking an affiliate link may result in a cookie being set by the third-party site in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Data retention

We retain server-stored data (votes, comments, submissions, and hashed identifiers) for as long as necessary to operate this site. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove it within a reasonable timeframe.
